Introduction

Cancer and its associated treatments can have a huge impact on patients’ normal daily activities. Activities such as moving around, talking, eating, drinking and sexual activity can all be affected by cancer and its treatment.

Cancer Rehabilitation

The philosophy of rehabilitation is to:

“Let the patient understand their disability, regain confidence and be inspired, always making sure that fears and anxieties are dispelled and that social problems are solved. Physical exercise alone is not rehabilitation: psychological and social treatment is just as important as active physical treatment.”

Sir Reginald Watson Jones
